At my church I've been given the opportunity to provide visual aides for sermons on a couple of passages from the Bible. I take the passage, meditate on it and break it into sections. Then I write down the key phrases or words while sketching abstract shapes and representations of the emotions and reactions I have while processing the verses. These images were projected on screens behind the speaker throughout the talk, with about 4 or 5 minutes for each slide. Below are the images that came out of this process for two passages.
I completed my first class through SkillShare.com. The assignment was to create your dream mentor list and then assemble portraits of your current "board of directors."
In reflection while departing campus life, I collaged together postcards about the postgrad blues of leaving college and entering the "real world." Enjoy.
